Growing Tips
Direct sow outdoors in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked, or in late summer for a fall harvest. Arugula prefers cool temperatures — it bolts and turns bitter quickly in summer heat. Sow shallowly (¼ inch deep) in rows or broadcast in beds, and thin to 4–6 inches apart. Water consistently to keep soil evenly moist.
