I have had great success with Phenomenal Lavender and wanted to add a couple of more to my garden. When these arrived they were wilted and l attributed this to shipping stress. I have planted them and if anything they have gotten worse. It doesn’t look like they are going to make it. I was also expecting larger size plants.

they are okay. but they did seem small -- i know that a 1 gal pot isn't really a gallon anymore, but i got other 1 gallon plants the same week from another on line source that were in bigger pots.
and yours were quite loose in the 1 gallon pot, as though they really belonged in an even smaller one.

When I initially received my phenomenal lavender plants from this company the soil was soaking wet! They both died within 18hrs. I reached out to the company. I was very upset and probably not so “lady-like”. Without argument, hesitation or me asking, accepted accountability saying that they had an unseasonably wet spring and mailed me off two replacement plants. I appreciated not having to go through a hassle.
The replacement plants arrived. One was very much so tossed around during shipping, noticeably so. The other was not.
That plant is VERY stressed; I really hope that it pulls through. Within 12 hours the plant was turning withered and brown. When receiving my plants(which arrived on time). I immediately unboxed and unwrapped them. The stressed plant had soil coming out of the pot and the plant was almost out of the pot, cocked to one side. I was horrified!
So I’m waiting to see how or if that lavender will pull through.
My 5 star rating comes from the company! After, the replacement delivery, I didn’t reach out to them. They reached out to me! After I mentioned how one of the plants were tossed during delivery they assisted me, giving me assurance that lavenders are hardy and advice on exactly what to do to help my stressed lavender out. They were in constant communication with me asking for pictures to see how they could help.
The company itself could not be held responsible for how the delivery company handled my package, as they themselves packaged it up very nicely and securely with “this end up” stickers, holes for ventilation and all.
This was my experience with this company. I would definitely recommend them and use them again, as they obviously hold customer satisfaction and quality plants in high regards.

There were no directions on how to handle the plants when they arrived. I ordered two. I left on in the pot it came in and I transplanted the other. The one I transplanted into a pot with Miracle Grow died or is well on it's way to being dead. The one I left in the pot it came in and only watered has improved. I am at a loss what to do with the plant that survived. My plan is to leave it in the pot it came in and wait to replant it. I live in Zone 10 and was hoping these would work.

Phenomenal is alleged to be the only lavender that can survive our high temperatures and humidity in the deep south (Louisiana).
I hope this is so! I've tried several other varieties, and they wilt and faint like 'southern belles' when the heat sets in.
I've looked up care instructions and will make my soil both more alkaline and increasingly draining.
Seriously, I am filled with optimism. These do smell wonderful, while still in the nursery pots.

The lavender looked quite compressed (obviously from the box) and many of the leaves were kind of gray and brittle and dry. A few parts of the plant started to get green after a few days (when it rained one day) and it's almost two months later but I think it's dead now. Probably should have given it more water over time but didn't since I've been so concerned about over-watering. Of course I don't think it had enough water from the beginning. I still would like to get a few more of these plants but hopefully they're healthy.

Very unhappy. I expect the two that are barely hanging on will not make it but I will see. I have never had this problem in all the years I have had this variety of lavender in my personal gardens or client gardens. The most recent replacement is beginning to shoe signs of the virus you had mentioned to me and i pray it does not spread to my older established plants I have had for three years. So basically my original investment with your plants may have been for nothing. Two out of 8 total plants from your nursery is not very good. We will see if it end up being 8 out of 8 dead ones. Bummed

I ordered and received 6 lavenders. They looked great except the tops were pushed inward and down towards the center of the plant. Waited for a week before planting them to see if they would straighten up. It's been 5 days since I have planted them and there is still no sign of improvement. Out of the 6 only one looks semi healthy, the rest look like their going to fizzle out .
